Back to basics web design

Back to basics web design Thailand

We recently published an article on getting fresh with web design ideas. While the article is very relevant in today’s ever-growing and expanding digital world of web design, marketing and advertising, it must be pointed out that sometimes, if not a lot of times, going back to basics with tried and tested web design formulas works and can do wonders to your website.

If something works, don’t change it

We’ve all heard the old expression “if something isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it” or “if something is working, don’t try to change it”. I first heard these expressions while studying business at college. I both agree and disagree with both expressions because they are most often used in hindsight. For example, how many times have we added a new ingredient to a dish only to discover the added herb or spice has just improved the recipe. Equally, how many times have we experienced the opposite and removed a vital ingredient from a dish and been left with a foul taste in our mouth. The same applies in the world of business, and especially in the world of web design.

Sometimes, even if something is good and doing well, there are always areas in which we can improve. This is the philosophy we apply here at PATTAYAMEDIA.com. We are always looking at ways in which we can better service our clients, so we are proud that even though we have built something big and beautiful, we never just stay idle.

There are times when we should experiment with a fresh new approach, but that fresh new approach could simply mean doing something new that worked in the past with another project or another campaign. So remember, sometimes going back to basics with your web design approach or marketing campaign can yield significant positive results.

Keep things simple, basic, clean and tidy

Keeping things simple and basic with your web design and specifically the pages will always yield the best results. Opening a web page that is cluttered and messy will deter people away from your website. So keep the design basic, and remember basic doesn’t mean unattractive or dull. Some of the most simple things in life are the most beautiful and elegant.
